Southall United Football Club is in one of its deepest crisis ever. The club is bankrupt, with no star players, no coach, no sponsors, no takers, no spectators, and most importantly it had no owner.
When the city council sent them an eviction notice, it was the do or die situation. The last chance to save the ground, the club and their honor was to win the Combined Counties Football League. Shaan (Arshad Warsi) took up the challenge to save the club. A dishonored ex-player, Tony Singh (Boman Irani), joins the team as the coach. Tony Singh and Shaan worked to put together a team.
Sunny Bhasin (John Abraham) wanted to play for England but, the color of his skin came in-between. Sunny and Shaan disagree on most of the things, but to Shaan’s dismay his cousin sister Rumana (Bipasha Basu) was in love with Sunny.
Tony convinced Sunny to play for Southall United. Sunny was more interested in being noticed himself, than Southall United winning the cup. Johny Bakshi (Dalip Tahil), a commentator and a frontman of the council, plans to lure Sunny away from Southall United.
