The well-known Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh has suffered from a brain hemorrhage and is admitted to Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, in critical condition. Popularly known as the Ghazal King of India, the 70-year-old singer is one of the pioneers of modern Ghazal singing.

The editor of Mid Day, Sachin Kalbag, tweeted:

Yes, it is true that noted singer Jagjit Singh suffered a brain haemorrhage. Was operated upon at Lilawati Hospital. Condition is critical.

The hospital authorities haven’t told anything about the condition of the singer. Jagjit had a history of heart ailment and the heart problem is suspected to be the cause behind the hemorrhage.

A movie based on Dawood Ibrahim, India’s most wanted man, is being made by one of his own relatives. A debut movie by Zubair Khan, son-in-law of Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parkar, is on the life and crimes of the underworld don.

The 33 year-old film maker, Zubair Khan, told that the movie titled ‘Lakeer Ka Fakir‘ will be "the most authentic movie on the underworld." He claims he had witnessed all the crimes and shootings in real locations associated with Dawood.

It is known that last Wednesday (August 31) Salman Khan underwent a successful neuro-surgery in Pittsburgh, USA. On Monday Salman had left for some undisclosed location in the US for the treatment of his neurological condition.

It was reported that his his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri told that the operation lasted for 8 hours and he is recovering. Depending on the results of the operation, the doctors will determine the next course of treatment.

Salman’s latest release Bodyguard is seeing a huge success in theaters. Salman is currently the highest paid actor in Bollywood.


Due to the treatment, Salman doesn’t have any plans to do movies except Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, in this year.
